Elephant Bar Tip-A-Cop In Sacramento

Join local Law Enforcement personnel when they come together with Special Olympics athletes for a day of food, fun and awareness.  

Law Enforcement personnel volunteer as celebrity waiters, delivering food and drinks with their “tips” donated to Special Olympics. This event raises money to provide local Special Olympics athletes with FREE year round sports training and competition opportunities in 12 different sports.

19th Anniversary Milonga Hosted By Tango By The River

It’s our 19 Year Anniversary Milonga! With tango, music, friends, and dancing, it will be a beautiful night–and a fun celebration of this special milestone!  

The dancing starts at 9:00 pm with traditional tango music with DJ Jesse Hendricks (and one set of live guitar music as well!). At midnight we switch to nuevo tango and alternative music. Light refreshments are provided. You are welcome to bring your favorite beverage. Cost is $10. We host our dances on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month! Join us for a taste of Buenos Aires al Norte!

Comedian Frankie Quinones At The Punch Line In Sacramento

Not for the easily offended, comedian Frankie Quinones’ high-energy act has been compared to a one-man variety show, as he plays a wide range of outrageous characters — from hippie Sun Diamond to the sassy Carmelita to the Cholo Whisperer — throwing in a scattering of four-letter words and musical sound effects along the way.  

Quinones is a mainstay of the San Francisco comedy scene, and the founder of the collective of artists known as For The People Comedy. He’s performed for American troops overseas in Japan, Europe and the Middle East, and toured the country with top comedians, including Paul Rodriguez. See him at Punch Line Sacramento.

Comedian Don “DC” Curry At Tommy T’s Comedy Club In Rancho Cordova

Don “DC” Curry’s outspoken comedy style — delivered in his signature voice with speed and a mischievous grin — made him a star at San Francisco’s comedy clubs starting in the ’90s, and he soon took his act across the nation.  

Best known for playing Uncle Elroy Jones in the hit films “Next Friday” and “Friday After Next”, Curry is a regular guest and former host of BET’s “Comic View” who’s also been seen on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam” and his own half-hour special on Comedy Central. As an actor, he’s also had regular roles on TV’s “Grace Under Fire” and “The Steve Harvey Show”, and was a guest voice on the animated hit “The Boondocks”.
